The Amazon Marketplace-API does not work with data sources that use internal provider data. You find this setting under My Account -> Preferences -> Actions .... Choose there - at types and sources of data - 'own data import'. The background to this is that the product data can otherwise not be modified, which is impractical for Amazon.
