Category Mapping

You can define the category names or IDs for an interface, which correspond to the categories in your shop system or on a marketplace, by means of Category Mappings. Different "Category Mappings" can be stored for different interfaces.

Selection of the Interface and Category Mapping

Select the desired interface as well as the appropriate category mapping or set up a new category mapping first.

"'Select Interface'" - Select an interface for category mapping. Pre-defined interfaces can be activated in the "Subscriptions" area. You can create your own interfaces via the "Interfaces -> Individual Interfaces" area.

Select a category mapping set - Wählen Sie eine Ihrer bereits angelegten Kategoriezuordnungen oder legen Sie eine neue Zuordung an. Eine Kategoriezuordnung enthält z.B. die Kategorien Ihres Shops und weist diese den internen Kategorien der Datenquelle zu. Beim Export werden in allen Produkten dann die richtigen Kategorien Ihres Shops oder eines Marktplatzes eingetragen.

Attention!
Prerequisite for the creation of a category mapping: The data source must contain at least ONE Internal category with products.

Give this category mapping of your interface a meaningful name (freely choosable).

Category Mapping

On the left you will see the IDs and the Internal Category Names from your Data Pool. Enter the ID or the name of the corresponding category of your shop or marketplace for each of these internal categories. The entered values are transferred to your CSV file as a category assignment for each product data record.

Attention!
If you do not enter any values here, there are later no categories available in your export file - that is, the contents of the category columns remain empty. This then often results in error messages, when importing the CSV file into your shop system. Therefore, a category mapping should always be created.

Die Zuordnung der eBay-Kategorien muss über den Bereich Datenpool ->Interne Kategorien erfolgen. Nur dort können die passenden eBay-Artikelmerkmale ausgewählt werden (Kategoriebezeichnung anklicken und den Reiter [ eBay ] wählen).

Exportieren

Exportieren Sie eine ausgewählte Kategoriezuordnung. Dazu müssen bereits Werte gespeichert sein. Öffnen Sie die exportierte Datei mit MS-Excel oder einem geeigneten Editor und tragen Sie dann die Kategoriebezeichnungen (oder IDs) Ihres Shops in die dafür vorgesehenen Spalten ein.

Importieren

Importieren Sie eine fertig ausgefüllte Datei wieder in das System. Bitte beachten Sie, dass ID-Nummern und Kategoriebezeichnungen in Export- und Importdatei übereinstimmen müssen. Achten Sie bitte auch auf Unterschiede in Groß- und Kleinschreibung!
